The biggest free canoe and kayak show in the South West has moved to a new date for 2010.

Usually the show is held on the first weekend of October but this year we have moved it forwards to the 25th Spetember. This is in hope of better weather.

You can expect the show to be as big as normal with just as much to see, if not more! Keep checking the show website for more details as it happpens.

New Show room opens 1st April.

Our new 1500 sq ft show room is nearing completion. The show room, which is located only 200 meters from our waterside shop will be opening to the public from the 1st April 2010.

This is no April fools joke but it should make you smile!

The show room will display all the larger boats we just cant squeeze into the shop.

Expect to see our full ranges of Open canoes, Sea kayaks and fishing sit on tops. Brands include Mad River, Old Town, Venture, Ocean Kayak, Wilderness Systems, P+H, Valley, Native, Perception and loads more of the worlds leading canoe and kayak manufacturers.

Join us at any time through April for an easter egg and refreshments and check out what we have to offer. There will be some great opening promotions on lots of gear but you will have to come and see for yourselves! Any questions ring the shop.

The hottley anticipated Open canoeing DVD is here! 180 minutes in a two disc set this new DVD showcases twelve adventure films from the camera of Justine Curgenven and the Cackle Tv production unit. Justine is responsable for the very popular sea kayaking series "This is the sea".

The DVD covers all aspects of open canoeing from Birch bark canoe journeys in the Canadian wilderness to the rigors of competitive slalom canoeing. If you have any interest in open canoeing or being outside this is well worth a watch.

Second hand boats galore!

You may have seen the amazing footage of the Severn Bore on the news on Tuesday.

It was the only 5* rated Bore of the year and supposedly the biggest for 10 years.

Well A.S Watersports staff Jim and Ewart got up to catch the wave themselves.

The whole thing was an amazing experience and they had rides of up to a mile long. So long that they thought their arms were going to fall off from ruddering so hard.
