10/05/08: Exmouth Kayak Fishing meet.

Next weekend is the Angler's Afloat forum meet at Shelly beach, Exmouth. A whole weekend dedicated to kayak fishing and safety. There will be safety demos and work shops with the Exmouth RNLI on the Saturday.

Demo kayaks available from: Ocean Kayak, Wilderness Systems, Native, Heritage and more.

Trade and retail stands from all the best manufacturers and local retailers, a bbq in the evening, camping on site and a raffle to win some great prizes including an Ocean kayak Caper fishing sit on top!

Sunday 18th May will give all visitors with their own kayak a chance to fish a catch and release kayak fishing tournament, an entry fee will be charged, all monies being donated to the RNLI, this event is open to all regardless of level of experience, you don't need to be an expert to compete, the idea being to have lots of fun, catch a few fish and learn from others, but most importantly raise lots of money for the RNLI.

 Thanks to Mark, Franco and every one who made it to the book launch at the shop and to all who made it for the Sundays paddle. There was over 30 sea kayaks on the water! The weekend was a great success and we are sure the book will open up the fantastic coast line we have to offer in the area.
