Fishing Sit-on-tops

We have seen a few of the Sit-on-top manufacturers launching boats in an "Angling" edition this year, so we thought we would show you some of the features on these upgraded boats, specifically looking at two popular models, the Wilderness Systems Tarpon 140 Angler and the Ocean Kayak Prowler 13 Angler.

The Ocean Kayak Prowler 13 Angler:

Pictured right, the Prowler 13 Angler is an upgraded version of the original Prowler 13 so it remains sleek through the water with great tracking, stable and fast. The Angler keeps the generous front hatch, storage bungee at the rear, paddle park and central hatch. 
The Angler keeps the seat and backrest to maximise comfort, but includes a few extras: The Prowler 13 Angler comes with its own tackle box (held under central bungee cord as pictured), and a pair of rod holders either side and behind the seat (better pictured below). The Wilderness Systems Tarpon 140 Angler:

We really like the finish on the wilderness system boats, as usual - you get what you pay for.

With the Tarpon 140 Angler you keep the usual features and fittings of the Tarpon 140 including; adjustable footrests, plastic molded and fitted backrest, large bow hatch, 2 further smaller hatches and paddle parks (rudder optional).
In addition to the usual fittings Wilderness Systems also provide 2 rear rod holders placed either side and behind the seat, a top mounted rod holder placed in front of the cockpit (pictured left) and an Anchor.
