Merrell Water-Pro Ultra Shoe: Since the availability  of Five Ten water shoes has become bleak in the UK, Teva has had little competition in the technical water shoe market... until now. The Merrell Water-Pro Ultra Shoe has a quick draining upper, with tensioning system and laces, razor cut Vibram sole and reinforced toes. It seems flexible enough to get in most boats too. We feel this boot will suit the UK river paddles well, where we require grip on wet rock and in the mud. Selling for £54.95 here.
Delta Touring Shells:

Adventurer £129.99 (blue, pictured), is the full-on Sea tourer, constructed in a 2 layer breathable waterproof fabric, with twin waist, latex wrists and a large front pocket. The high visibility hood can be neatly stowed away when conditions are calmer.

Pathfinder £69.99 (red, awaiting image), is more of a touring shell constructed in a breathable 2 layer waterproof fabric with a single waist, hood and cuff.

Both cags look bomber, why not come in and try one on, or you can buy online here.

Liquid Logic Jefe (£749): We now have some stock of this much acclaimed creek boat, set to be one of the favourite creekers for this winter suiting the medium/ large paddler. Loads of rocker for instant resurfacing, good in a straight line, but still rounded edges for soft landings and dealing with rocks (something we have to do a lot in Devon). More details here, or pop in and have a look.
Surf Kayaking: The Essential Guide: Simon Hammond. (£14.95): If you have not bought this book already and are into a bit of surf kayaking, simply pick up the phone, call us, and buy one immediately...or buy one here.

This is the 'New Testament' of kayak surfing by local paddler Simon Hammond, freshly released after his 1st placing at the recent world championships. The book covers all aspects of surf kayaking and has some excellent sequence photos.

"Simons words, together with wonderful photographs clear away the fog which shrouds those complex and seemingly impossible surf manoeuvers" (Paul Hurrell). Even some photos from Ewart (AS Watersports) made the book.

Riot Flair 47 and 57 (£650): A Turbo meets Air combo = Flair... It seems like they have taken the best bits from both boats to make an excellent compromise of bounce and speed, as well as increasing the stern length slightly over the Air to increase the stability when going vertical. The Flair inherits the Turbo's hull at the back, which will mean lots of fun in the surf. At £650, it is very keenly priced as well! In stock in the smaller 47 gallon, and the larger 57 gallon size. More details here, or come in and have a paddle of it.
