The boats will have an
adjustable backrest (similar to the adjustment on the Necky boats -
pictured left), held with a metal buckle. They will also use the
same grey thigh braces as on the top spec boats.
Notice that the full plate footrest on this H3 pictured, is similar to the G3, not the original H3. There is also no central reinforcement pillar. The cheaper spec boats will be more suitable for general white water paddling, maybe not as a creek boat for grade 5 adventures! |
| Inside, it has got a whole
lot more comfortable, with a silver foam seat liner, sticky hip pads
and softer backrest.
The secure bars and handles are also more suited to lower grade paddling, ideal for up to grade 3. The bars are security (not rescue) and the grab handles are not rated, but amply strong for general paddling. All in all, Rapid + is a good new fitting out system. In the 4Twenty, we have a really current playboat, and in the Stretch, a useful river/ playboat, both at a super competitive price. It is the H3 though, that will be really well received as a classic river boat, ideal for building skills, and at this price is a genuine bargain! |
