RIVER DART ADVENTURES

Dear Paddler,

The summer is drawing to a close and the autumn rains will soon be upon us. We are writing to bring you up to date with what is happening this winter at River Dart Adventures and the changes and improvements we are making.

Firstly, we have improved the café bar with new furniture, layout and serving areas and we will be offering a greater selection of snacks, tea-time treats and a new menu for the coming season.

Secondly, we are drawing up plans for the refurbishment of the apartments and Bothy rooms, which will take place from this September onwards, creating more en-suite rooms and family suites.

We have repaired the Anvil weir and bank and have installed lights along the drive from close to the egress point up to near the car park to help those late paddlers find their way!

  We are introducing a Membership Scheme for regular users of the river. As the office will not always be staffed during the week, we cannot guarantee access to the Park on weekdays. Accordingly all members will be given a swipe card allowing access at all times during the day. For non-members and persons not staying with us, we are introducing charges for car parking and vehicular access to the river egress at weekends, at £3 per car and £5 per minibus per day.  If you are just dropping off and picking up the charge is £2 per day.

These charges have become necessary in order to enable us to keep the Park open to paddlers during the winter months, however residents staying on the park will not be liable for these charges.

We have held our Bed and Breakfast accommodation prices for the third year at £14 per person per night in our dormitory rooms and £20 for our twin rooms. As in the past, the Bar and café will be open every Friday evening, all day Saturday and until 6pm on Sundays, except for the Chris tmas and New Year period.

As in previous years, AS Watersports will have their on-site shop, which will open at weekends from 8^th October with a large selection of equipment and demo boats. (Please note that they are holding a large open day on Saturday 1^st October at their Exeter shop where all are welcome).
