Paddling!

In this section we will be covering how to control your boat, turning, stopping and of course forward paddling.

We will also cover the basics of edging, body position and support strokes.

Safety and rescue:

We will discuss safety aspects such as paddling conditions and suitable locations. The basics of self, group and 1-2-1 rescues will be introduced through demonstration. However it will not be essential to complete all these techniques as this is an introductory course. A capsize drill is encouraged but by no means compulsory.
