The short finger glove gives you good dexterity, allowing you to be able to adjust the controls on your boat with ease. The short fingers stop your hands from getting to warm and allow fiddly tasks such as undoing shackles to be done with out having to remove the glove.
The reinforced panels across the palm, finger and back of the hand help you to keep hold of wet ropes as well as increasing the durability of the gloves.
